Republic of Ebres (ROE)
The ROE took an active role in the earlier wars of the century, but has been
militarily dormat for the past 30 years. Politically however, the ROE has
been strong, buying lands to expand themselves onto, and taking care
of all possible conflicts from the podiums, instead of from the battlefield.
Recently, they have made moves to acquire the strip of land just north of
Aerosia and south of Ebres, known as the Comson Strip. This land is technically
neutral, but many countries have been tapping it for oil and other natural
resources for decades.
The ROE government has made it clear that once it is
purchased, no countries will be allowed to access it, except for them. The uproar caused
by this statement sparked attacks on Ebres surveyors and light forces in the area by Senntland, Notrania, and Hrefaly, three of countries that
use Comson, and attempts by Ebres leaders to quell the attacks with diplomacy have failed miserably.
Finally, on June 28th, 2196 the ROE officially purchased the land and rolled tanks into the Comson Strip, showing off
new battalions of highly modified vehicles, which had been previously secret. With this military movement, the ROE became an
offensive force for the first time in nearly a century.
Tactical Overview
- The ROE tanks are the strongest tanks available. With high-tech guidance and ordinance delivery systems, they are feared on the battlefield.
- Light recon units are more heavily armored than others, not at the expense of speed. This combination of speed and power allows for recon missions to be converted to full out assaults.
- With all of the ROE's money going to armor divisions, their airforce is severely underfunded, and is only used for scout and sometimes support missions.
Aerosia
Located in the warm, southeastern part of the world, Aerosia has in recent
years become a dominant superpower. They have begun to flex their military
muscle, cooperating in a number of peacekeeping campaigns around the globe.
Aerosia's involvement In the Tikondran civil
war crisis of 2180 was one such highly critized operation, especially after
they withdrew from the country hoarding gold and
other monetary sources, claiming they were given to them as a cost
of preventing civil disaster.
Other than this scratch on their reputation,
the Aerosian government's approval has proven to be invaluable to
other countries in many conflicts of the past decade. The resources to support these operations have come mostly from
the Comson Strip, the oil rich land just north of their borders. When the ROE claimed these lands, the Aerosian government adopted
a "wait and see" approach, hoping the combined power of Senntland, Notrania, and Hrefaly would be enough to push out the ROE.
However, as the days wore on, it became clear that action would have to be made.
Tactical Overview
- The AAF (Aerosian Airforce) is the most lethal in the world. With a deadly array of jets and bombers, they have ruled the skies for almost 15 years
- Strong artillery units. Aerosian commanders realized the need to destroy anti air defences without having to risk close combat, and several artilleries were put into production
- Weak ground forces, mostly recon. The T1D3 Dragon main battle tank is the workhorse of Aerosia's heavy army, however it is has a variety of weaknesses that can easily be taken advantage of.
